There's two new types of rule for reducing repetitious output, ready for use right now in Aiir Scheduler. So if you want to spread out how things sound a bit more than that - here's what you can add to your library now...
Linked Hour Separation
Want to ensure your morning listeners aren't hearing the exact same songs when they head home from work?
It's sometimes known as 'AM/PM Drive Protection', this rule lets you create linked sets of hours across days of the week - and the same audio item won't be scheduled in both.
It's up to you how you match the hours - whether that's removing repeats from 5pm yesterday to 8am today, or 9am today to 6pm this evening, you can create multiple sets of linked hours across the week. It can also be used for creating 'no repeat workday' blocks, or smarter rotations for your weekend-only listeners.
Prior Day, Same Hour
This prevents the same audio item, artist or title from being scheduled if it has been scheduled on a previous given day of the week. It's like 'Yesterday, same hour', but it's up to you how you match up each day of the week.
Through the weekdays, you may want to avoid the same songs from the day before - so for example, Wednesday shouldn't contain a song played on Tuesday. But at a weekend, you may want this Saturday to avoid any repeats from the prior Saturday - or on a Monday, you may want a bit of distance from the tracks played the prior Friday.
Both of these rules can be limited by category - either by running it only on selected categories, or for all categories except those you choose to exclude. Find out more about this new feature on our blog.
